What to Expect From Us
(And What We Expect From You)
You might seek mental health support for many reasons: life changes, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, or recovery.
Wherever you are, we’ll meet you there. BLND helps you figure out what care you need, overcome obstacles, and build on your strengths.
We customize your plan from the start.
We work with you to shape therapy, in person or online. We set a schedule that fits your life. We build on your strengths, look at challenges, and consider the roles and story that make up your life so care is centered on you.
Collaboration: We’ll work together.
We’re big on building a strong therapeutic alliance to support your mental health, your personal growth, and your desired changes. We value relationship-centered growth, and that begins with focusing on the match between client and practitioner. We believe the experience should be a pressure-free environment where your comfort and trust in us is the priority. We’ll start the conversation where you’re ready and move at a pace informed and led by you—even if you’re not sure where to begin.
We take an out of the box approach.
We focus on whole-body wellness—mental, physical, and emotional. We coordinate with doctors, psychiatrists, and other specialists to understand your mind and body. Whether issues are chemical, hormonal, seasonal, or situational, we’ll help you build healthy routines, learn practical skills, and use effective coping strategies.
A diagnosis or not, we will always deliver person centered care.
Mental health labels can help people understand their behavior and struggles. But the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) — used for insurance — doesn’t fit everyone. It was developed mainly from how disorders show in heterosexual, cisgender white men. Diagnoses can be stigmatizing, but they don’t have to cause shame. We look beyond deficits, considering each person’s environment, challenges, and intersecting identities from a strengths- and resilience-focused view.
